Desperate Houseflies: The Magazine

Feel free to pull out your trusty fly swatter and comment on what is posted here, realizing that this odd collection of writers may prove as difficult to kill as houseflies and are presumably just as pesky. “Desperate Houseflies” is a magazine that intends to publish weekly articles on subjects such as politics, literature, history, sports, photography, religion, and no telling what else. We’ll see what happens.

Zen Rummy

Perhaps this Rumsfeld criticism phenomenon is thoroughly intriguing to no one else but me. Yet I must share. I found this piece in the W-Post sharply incisive. “Meet the secretary of serenity”

And is it just me or does the writer look uncannily like Greg Kinnear?

Spot on about Greg Kinnear. I think the most disturbing thing in the press conference was something only briefly mentioned in the article. Rumsfeld said he wasn't indisposable and that, now I'm going from memory so this isn't *exactly* what he said but close: "there are thousands of graves filled with indisposable people." As if his job security was equal to someone's life. And he apparently saw no irony in his comment.

I also like that he is saying the generals are stuck in another century in regards to their views on warfare when that is exactly what a couple of them are saying about him.

And, politics aside, you have to like any article giving props to the oppossum.

Lucky for Rummy that Kinnear isn't "the decider."
